Community Involvement

Suicide Prevention Event

Employees from all City Departments are actively involved in the Fairbanks community through volunteer events, fundraisers, and educational activities. Whether it's an annual event that we host, raising money for a good cause, or visiting our local schools, City employees work hard to leave a positive impact on this community that we love!

Volunteer Employees
City Employees prepare for the "Sgt. Brandt Memorial Run From The Cops 5k". The "Sgt. Brandt Memorial Run from the Cops" is a wonderful event that brings officers closer to the community they proudly serve.  Originally created by members of the Fairbanks Emergency Communication Center and the Police Department as a fund-raising effort for local charities, the event was renamed in honor of Sgt. Allen Brandt following his tragic death in the line of duty serving the community he loved.  Money raised from the race is now donated to C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors). The "Sgt. Brandt Memorial Run from the Cops" Walk & Run is a fun event for runners and walkers alike.
