Garbage Utility Information

  Garbage will be collected on Monday, January 15, 2024.  The City of Fairbanks does not recognize Martin Luther King Day as a municipal holiday.

Free Christmas Tree Collection

During the month of January, Public Works Garbage Crews will collect Christmas trees every Thursday.  Real Christmas trees must be free of lights and decorations in order to go through the shredder.  Residents are encouraged to call Public Works 907-459-6770 during the week  to provide address information for tree collections on Thursdays.
