FPD Officer Named D.A.'s Officer of the Year

Officer Reuter

Congratulations to Fairbanks Police Officer Caleb Reuter for being awarded the District Attorney's Officer of the Year Award at the Alaska Peace Officer Association's Annual Awards Banquet in February!

This award is given by the District Attorney’s Office to a sworn officer who serves as the model of diligent service and inter-agency cooperation and who always goes the extra mile necessary to make investigations and prosecutions successful, benefiting the citizens of the Fairbanks region.

Read what D.A. stated about him below:

"This year’s Officer of the Year is somebody who has developed a reputation within our office as reliable, dependable, professional, and hard-working. He goes the extra mile. He responds to every follow up request. In one particular case, he was the case officer for a burglary that happened on Christmas. There was an enormous amount of the follow-up investigation that needed to be done to keep the case viable and prosecutable. He did it all and pushed FPD detectives to work on it, too. As a result of the work he did in that case, our office’s presentation of a separate homicide trial was strengthened. He is well-respected within our office and is deserving of this recognition. This year’s Officer of the Year – Caleb Reuter."

Thank you, Caleb! The City of Fairbanks is lucky to have such dedicated employees!
