Fairbanks Safety Alerts

Welcome to Fairbanks Safety Alerts! Fairbanks Safety Alerts is the official emergency alert system for the City of Fairbanks. Fairbanks Safety Alerts is powered by Smart911* and allows you to sign up to start receiving text, email, and phone alerts during emergencies near your home, work, or school.  Types of alerts include missing persons, road closures, police activity notifications, and more.

There are two simple ways to sign up. 

•  Click the button below to create a profile and select which delivery types (email, text, etc.) you wish to receive and which departments you wish to receive alerts from. If you already have a Smart911 profile, you can log in to your current profile and select City departments. Note: the majority of alert messages sent from our departments will be via text and email.

•  If you do not wish to create a profile but you would like to receive text message alerts from Fairbanks Police Department, simply text FPDALERTS to 67283.
   

*Smart911 is a free service that allows individuals to create a Safety Profile for their household that can include any information they may want 9-1-1 call takers and first responders to have in the event of an emergency. If they need to dial 9-1-1, their Safety Profile will immediately display on the call taker’s screen saving critical seconds and even minutes in response to the emergency. If you already have a Smart 911 profile and would like to start receiving our alerts, simply log into your account and select the City of Fairbanks departments you wish to receive alerts from.
