FPD Food Drive for the Food Bank

Food drive

This past weekend, Fairbanks Police Department ran a food drive at Costco for the Fairbanks Community Food Bank, and the community turnout was incredible! In just two days, we collected nearly 24,000 pounds of dinner items so those in need could have a special Thanksgiving dinner. This food drive was part of the larger Alaska Police Officer Association Fairbanks Law Enforcement food drive.

We'd like to give a special thank you to Detective Ace Adams and his wife Amanda Adams (who is also the Vice President of the APOA Farthest North Chapter) for organizing the FPD food drive. Thank you also to Costco who helped promote the event, as well as assisted in logistics. Thank you most of all to all the generous residents of Fairbanks that continue to prove why Fairbanks is called the Golden Heart City!
