Important Notice Regarding Snow Removal

Desiree Hoelzel clears snow on the sidewalk at her home on Fourth Street in Menasha during a storm Jan. 30. Governments will charge homeowners a premium price to clear the sidewalks if they aren't cleared within 24 or 36 hours after a storm.Winter has arrived!!  Please help the City’s Public Works Department keep our roads safe this winter.  If your property is bordered by a sidewalk, it is the responsibility of the owner or occupant to remove any snow or ice from the sidewalk so as not to impede pedestrians. Snow removed from the sidewalk is allowed to be placed in the gutter directly adjacent to the sidewalk so long as it doesn’t enter the travelled way of vehicles.

DO NOT transfer snow from private property or driveway into the street, City right of way or drainage ditches.  This is a violation of City Code and could result in a $200.00 fine.

If you have any questions or to report a violation, contact the City Quality Assurance Officer at 459-6741.  Your cooperation is appreciated.
