On September 10, I’ll be walking 14 miles from North Pole to Fairbanks to support a local nonprofit that shelters homeless youth. If homeless youth spend their days/nights walking, it is the least I can do. Joining me are Fairbanks North Star Borough Mayor Karl Kassel and North Pole Mayor Bryce Ward. Together we hope to make a statement and to start a conversation about the vulnerable kids in our communities – homeless youth. I’m collecting pledges and giving all proceeds to The Door. The Door is a 24/7 emergency youth shelter. The Door provides a safe place for kids t0 sleep.
I am writing to invite you to support the march. It’s easy. See the online link below. You can donate at www.fairbanksyouthadvocates.org/mayorsmarch
Consider sponsoring your favorite mayor for the Mayors’ March. Your donation really can make a difference in the lives of homeless youth.
Thank you for supporting the march to keep kids safe.
