Students from the FNA Early Head Start program enjoyed an afternoon learning about equipment, safety and what the City of Fairbanks Public Works does. Jackson Fox, the City Engineer, arranged for the staff of Public Works to take some equipment over for the kids to see how it works and learn about safety. Operators Jayla Gentry and Mylene Wheelock were on hand to demonstrate a mini excavator. Charles Pullock showed the children signs, safety equipment, traffic cones and a little about what it takes to get set up to do a job. Ivan Thomas, with his parents Angie and Darrick, posed for a photo with the equipment and staff.
