The City of Fairbanks is sad to hear of the recent passing of former City Councilman Jerry Norum.

Mr. Norum was admitted to FMH after suffering a brain aneurysm and passed away on Sunday, April 1st around 2 pm, with his family by his side.

Mr. Norum had a great love for Fairbanks which was evident in his service to the community over his lifetime. In addition to many other endeavors, Mr. Norum served several terms on the Fairbanks City Council. His most recent service as City Councilman ended in 2017.
