Non-Utility Card Payment Transaction Fee

On January 8, 2024, the City Council approved Resolution No. 5093 which updated the City’s Schedule of Fees and Charges for Services by implementing a 2.9% Transaction Fee for all credit and debit card payments not related to garbage collection, effective April 1, 2024. This applies to payments relating to business licensing, permits, citations, etc. Additionally, tax payments which previously have only been payable by check, cash, or ACH/Wire transfer will now have the option to be paid by card, including the convenience fee. To reiterate, payments for garbage services are NOT subject to this fee.
