Emergency Exercise Relocates City Offices – Thursday
February 9, 2012
The City continues to exercise our emergency plans to prepare for future incidents. In order to see where we can improve in provision of services if we have to relocate, all offices are relocating for one day. Today, the City Clerk’s Office and the City Attorney’s Office have relocated to the Fairbanks Police Department. If you need assistance in these offices, please go to FPD at 911 Cushman Street, adjacent to City Hall. Thank you.

Press Release: “Shop with a Cop” Program

The Fairbanks Police Department is partnering with other agencies and businesses to provide a “Shop with a Cop” program. Children in need were nominated to participate in the program, and will each be given a $100 gift card that will allow them to purchase Christmas gifts. Fairbanks Police Officers, volunteering their time, will accompany the children to Fred Meyer West to help them with their shopping. Veteran’s Day Celebration
November 8, 2011
Veteran’s Day will be celebrated locally this Friday at the First Presbyterian Church at Seventh and Cushman. The program will start at 10:30 AM with Colonel David Dean acting as Master of Ceremonies, and end at approximately 12:15 PM. Both Colonel Ron Johnson, Fort Wainwright Garrison Commander, and Brigadier General James N. Post III, Eielson AFB Commander, 345th Fighter Wing, will be participating. Please join with us in honoring our veterans!
