Boy Scouts Help Place New Markers at Clay Street Cemetery

In August, Boy Scout Troop 2 helped place new grave markers at Fairbanks’ historic Clay Street Cemetery. The City-owned cemetery is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the oldest remaining historic landmarks in Fairbanks.

Troop members who participated were Darin Cheney, Ryan Watson, Vincent Goffredo, Isaac Hendrickson, John Walls, Kyle Williams and KaLolo Ho Chee.  Clay Street Cemetery Commissioners Bill Robertson, Kate Ripley and Anne Castle were also present to offer logistical support. Joseph Stone oversaw the project as part of his Eagle Scout ranging.  To read the full article in the Fairbanks Daily News Miner visit http://bit.ly/1qAZOpc.08 2014 Placement Photo 1
