Trick-or-Treating Today at City Hall from 3-5 p.m.!

City Hall Closed at 2 p.m. Monday, October 30

Due to unsafe travel conditions, CITY HALL WILL CLOSE AT 2:00 P.M. TODAY (MONDAY, OCTOBER 30) AND ALL NON-ESSENTIAL CITY PERSONNEL WILL BE DISMISSED. Weather permitting, City Hall will reopen at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 31.

Council Members Sworn In

At this week’s City Council meeting, Council members David Pruhs and Jerry Cleworth were sworn in for another three years on the council. Their terms will expire in October 2020. Mr. Cleworth has served on the City of Fairbanks City Council and as mayor for approximately 25 years of combined service.

2017 AFN Convention

Last week, Mayor Matherly had the honor of giving opening remarks at the Alaska Federation of Natives 2017 Conference “Strength in Unity”. Along with celebrating leaders, artists, and communities, the conference addressed serious issues affecting Alaskans such as the opioid epidemic and climate change.

2017 Hotel/Motel Discretionary Fund Grant Application Period Ends October 31!
